For a customer focused on the production of all kinds of enzymes and biocatalysts we realized the renewal of 2 compressors, which are used for the air in the fermentation process.
Our activities:
- Building and commissioning the DeltaV DCS system for monitoring and release of the Atlas Copco compressors.
- Commissioning was in a live production environment, a phased approach was needed
Customer benefits:
- The new compressors need less maintenance and are more efficient
- The new compressors provide hot water which is used as supply for the CIP process and steam production.
- More flexible control by the DCS system with a dynamic pressure control of the compressor to meet the changing air demand
- Renewal of old PLC hardware
