Machine learning is an application area within artificial intelligence (AI), allowing machines to independently learn and improve procedures and tasks without being explicitly programmed to do so. Qualitative data are the raw materials for better experiences, pattern recognition or predictions of input/output data, allowing the machine to make more and more effective independent decisions.
Various learning methods are available depending on the data and/or the brief. Learning may be monitored or unmonitored, with intermediate or mixed forms. We load the necessary data into a model, an algorithm. We then train the model. These models come in many varieties depending on the problem to be solved.
Typical examples of machine learning include anomaly detection and pattern recognition.
